This week the theatrical trailer of Kunal Kohli's next film, Break ke Baad was released.
I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to this movie or not. I like both lead actors, Deepika Podukone and Imran Khan. The first look/trailer of a movie should have you hooked and make you realllyyyy want to see the movie. But this just doesnt do it for me yet.
It looks cute but is lacking something. Not to mention, I cant stand Deepika's short hair cut, it looks like a cheap job. The layers look horrible. She looks so much better with long hair like in Love Aaj Kal.
Congrats to Konkona and long time, live-in boyfriend Ranvir on their wedding celebrations. They finally got married this weekend in a very small and intimate wedding. Both of them are really good, under rated actors. I loved Konkona in just about all of her movies, and looved Ranvir in "Pyaar Ke Side Effects."
Konkona looked lovely in her grandmother's jewelry and a traditional Bengali dress. Simple yet pretty.

First off, if there's anything you know about me, then you know that I am a reality TV junky! My absolute all time favorite of these is 'Big Boss'(India)! Big Boss is the equivalent to the American/British 'Big Brother' show. You have a certain number of housemates all staying under one roof and doing all kinds of different activities or challenges and once a week the housemates vote on who they want to evict from the house. The difference between the American and Indian versions is that the housemates in the Indian show are all famous people (or were famous at one time). I fell in love with the show this past season and even made the hubby addicted! It's just THAT good!
This past season the host was Amitabh Bachchan. The housemates were music composure/director Ismail Darbar, former big actress Poonam Dhillon, actor Kamaal Khan, actress/model Sherlyn Chopra, son of boxer/actor Dara Singh- Vindu Dara Singh, former model/actress and current doctor Aditi Gowitrikar, TV and movie actors, husband and wife Bhakhtiyaar and Tanaaz Irani, famous actress/model Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya Sawant, actress Shamita Shetty, fashion designer Rohit Verma, famous comedian Raju Srivastav, famous cricketer Vinod Kambli, German model/actress/singer Claudia Ciesla and top fashion model Parvesh Rana. WOW.. can you say a houseful of DRA-MA!! :-) it was awesome!
This is the picture of Big Boss Season 3 Cast, minus Parvesh Rana. He was added later through a public vote. The final winner of the show was Vindu Dara Singh. And boy did he play it well!
I cant wait for the new season to start. I'm constantly checking up on news about the house and who's going to be in it this year. I know I am super excited to know that Salman Khan is going to be this year's host! woo hoo!! You know he's definately going to make sure everyone has fun! This show is going to be his life for the next 6 months(or however long it is this time). He ditched his 'Dus Ka Dum' show just for this! :-O
The new season starts in October, and trust me, you will DEFINATELY be seeing lots of blogs about the show! I'm going to be watching it religiously every single day. So I'll update you on the gossip if you dont get the chance to watch. Andddd you can come and talk to me about the show!

Last week I got the chance to watch 'We are family.' Sorry I didnt write the review any sooner, but i got extremely busy with LIFE! Anyways, I went into this film open minded. I was in the mood to watch a Bollywood movie and this hit the spot for the night. And for everyone wondering, yes this movie is like 'Stepmom' but if you are a lover of Bollywood films, you'll still give it a chance like I did. :-)
First off, I'm not a big fan of Arjun Rampal. I am not one of those girls who thinks he's extremely good looking. Sorry! I dont think he can act and none of his previous movies ever showed his ability to me. No, not even in 'Om Shanti Om.' But for the first time ever, I have to say, he didnt do that bad of a job in this film.
Kareena and Kajol did an amazing job of living their roles and their on screen chemistry just made the movie worth watching. They both looked gorgeous and played their characters beautifully. The 3 children in the movie did such an amazing job. They made you believe in their characters.
This movie definately made me tear up a few times. Which shows that every single person did a good job in playing their roles. I dont want to give away too much, since I know some of you really want to see this movie. I do reccommend this for girls to see. It's an emotional chic flick, so have the tissues handy! :-)

I finally got the chance to sit down and watch this movie last week. And I have to say, it was an ok movie and I'm glad I watched it at home vs in the theatre. I wanted to see the movie based on the trailers and because of one really good song, 'Pee Loo.'
The movie is basically about two gangsters and the rise of the underworld, all seen through the eyes of a police officer.
The movie is set in the 70's and definately has the look and feel of the movies from back then. Not to mention the same "cliche" dialogue that was also used back then. But nonetheless, the actors did a superb job in playing out their roles. Ajay Devgan definately shows his acting skills as Sultan Mirza. My favorite part definately has to be when he woo's the famous Actress Rehaana, played by Kangana Ranaut.
Kangana plays a "famous 70's film actress" and looks gorgeous doing so. Her sari's, makeup and hair all definately played the part. But I still cant get over her plastic surgery. I thought maybe I'll see past it in a movie but I just couldnt stop staring at her big fat injected lips. WHYYY Kangana!? WHY!? Your such a gorgeous girl, you didnt have to do any of that to yourself!
But anyways, moving on! That leaves me to Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai. I have watched all of Emraan Hashmi's movies and I guess I can call myself a fan of him. I think he's an outstanding actor and does different kinds of films. Ones I can find myself watching more than once (besides this one). He played out his role effortlessly in this film. Prachi Desai also does really good as an up and coming actress. I used to watch her in the Zee TV drama serial 'Kasam Se,' so I'm already a fan of her acting.
All in all this movie was a good time pass movie for my husband and me. He's usually the one to like the "gangster" or "underworld" type of movies, but this one deifnately didnt hit the spot for him. Would we watch this movie again if it was on t.v. --probably not.
I give this movie a 3 out of 5.

Today was a pretty fast day for me. Normally I hate Tuesdays because I feel like "ughh it's only Tuesday!?" But since it was my last day at this Clinical Rotation, it went by super fast. Plus it just happened to be super busy. I'm looking forward to the long weekend though! We're probably going to the beach, if the weather permits that is! If not, I'm planning to go see "We are Family." It got pretty good reviews by critics. I'll go take a watch and then write a review sometime during the weekend.

A few weeks ago was the India International Jewelry week. I totally forgot to share some awesome pictures from that event! I saved the pictures to my computer and never got the chance to upload them. But here are a few of Deepika Podukone. Doesnt she look gorgeous!? Such a pretty bride! My favorite thing about her (besides her 'to die for' dimples) would have to be her confidence and the way she carries herself. Not all models or former models have that.
By the way, I loove her jewelry! I love love the necklace! Something totally different and eye catching!

This weeks "Song of the week" for me definately has to be one of the sweetest hindi songs ever written. I miss the good ol' days of Bollywood. When the songs came from the heart and had such beautiful meaning! I mean come on, how many sweet songs have come out this year? Not more than 10. The more I see the teasers for this movie, the more I want to see it! It's Aishwarya Rai's next film, Enthiran- The Robot. Yeah sounds pretty corny from the name, but the promo's are looking kind of promising. The lead actor opposite Aishwarya is the famous South Indian actor, Rajnikanth. He's the 2nd highest paid actor in Asia (first being Jackie Chan!!). Now that right there, speaks a lot for itself. If not for anything else, I'll end up watching this movie just to see their on-screen chemistry and his action.
Aishwarya is looking absolutely stunning in the promos. And I must say, we havent seen her in a glamorous role in a very long time. But nonetheless.. she looks great for her age. I'm not a really HUGE fan of hers or anything, but girl can act and dance. And of course she has some beautiful eyes!

It's official! Kangana Ranaut has been chosen by Paris Hilton herself as The Asian Brand Ambassador for her fashion line, "Paris Hilton Fashions." Kangana is going to be the first Indian actress to represent Paris' fashion line in the Indian Subcontinent. Supposedly she's going to be paid a huge amount for being the brand ambassador.
