Aishwarya at Cannes 2011

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looking stunning at the Opening Ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival 2011 in France.

Gown: Elie Saab
Clutch: Jimmy Choo
Makeup: L'Oreal (obviously!)

She looks beautiful. But her eye makeup just didnt do it for me. Her hair and makeup looks like it was done in a rush. -- I do like the hair style though.. might have to recreate that! :-)

Ritu Kumar -- Falaknama Collection

How does Ritu come up with the most stunning collections year after year? I'm sure a question not only me but you are wondering as well! Here are a few pictures from her latest collection. Very vintage chic!

Gracefully worn on the ramp by dashing Dia Mirza.

The ramp was also walked by lovely Shabana Azmi.

Review: No One Killed Jessica

As you might know, Rani Mukherjee is my favorite actress. I watch all of her movies, whether they look appealing or not. I wasnt really looking forward to this movie, but after hearing the good reviews, I thought, what the heck.. I'll watch it!

For me, this movie was really a 'time-pass' type of movie. I did chores around the house while watching the movie. Which I'm glad I did because I dont think it had enough substance to keep me hooked the whole time. (I might have turned it off otherwise) Rani Mukherjee did fab like usual. Vidya also did pretty well in her not-so-glamorous look.

The movie is based on the real life killing of model Jessica Lall who was killed in 1999 by Manu Sharma, the son of a former minister Vinod Sharma. Jessica was killed after she refused to serve a drink to Manu at a night club in Delhi.

Would I watch this movie again? Probably not.
Would I reccommend you to go see it in theatres? No, I say wait for the movie to come out on DVD. It's nothing I would put on the top of my 'things to-do' list.

My rating for this movie is a 3 out of 5.

I rate this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Mr & Mrs Bhupati ...to-be!!

This weekend is the anticipated wedding of ever so lovely Lara Dutta and long time beau, Mahesh Bhupati. Together they make such a cute couple! I've been waiting online to get glimpses of them dressed for their differet occasions. I really cant wait to see Lara all dolled up as a beautiful bride! They're wedding is going to have a Victorian theme, according to Times of India. I cant wait to see!

Here they are arriving in Goa together for their wedding festivities to begin! (2/17/11)

I love how simple Lara's dressed. I love this outfit of hers.

Arent they just too cute!?

I'll keep posting pictures from their wedding as they come available! I cant wait to see and share them with you guys! yayyy! (I love weddings -- cant you tell!? :-) )

Did you know?

I decided today, I'm going to start a new little series of posts called 'Did you know?' I'll try to post about once every other week or so. But of course, you all know me by now, and it might only become a once a month ordeal haha.

Anyways, the posts will be about random Bollywood facts that not everyone knows. And my little take on each one. "what say ppl!?' -- as Piggy Chops (Priyanka Chopra) would say.

Did you know that originally movie director Aditya Chopra was to cast Hollywood film star Tom Cruise as Raj Malhotra in his legendary blockbuster film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge? Oh yes ladies and gentlemen, that is correct! He originally wanted the affair to be that of an Indo-American romance. But Mr Yash Chopra wasnt having it. He wasnt too keen on the idea of having a foreign actor in the movie. So Aditya had to re-edit his story so that it would fit the character Mr Yash had imagined.

Arent you glad that Yash Raj jumped in and saved the day? Or should I say saved Bollywood itself. I could never imagine Tom Cruise playing the role of Raj. I mean come on, how in the heck would he be able to go the distance in finding Kajol, in some random pindh in the middle of Punjab, without knowing anyone or anything about India?

I love the movie the way it is. I wouldnt change a thing. I think Raj's character is perfect and I'm sure many would agree.

What do you think?

Tom Cruise or King Khan!?
