Style Check!

There's a few different style checks I want to share with y'all today. The first one, once again, is no other than Dia Mirza! If you cant already tell, I think she has fabulous style. It's either that or one really good stylist! What ever the case may be, she's blowing up my blog! haha

(above picture from the Aza Collection Launch)

The picture is also of Dia Mirza. Looking stunning in a white, off-shoulder dress with nude/gold heels.
Very glamorous and sexy!

Another beauty who always looks super cute in Pink, Preity Zinta.

But hottest of all looked Priyanka Chopra as the Show Stopper for Manish Malhotra at Lakme Fashion Week. Manish Malhotra is my all time FAVORITE Indian clothing designer. Hands down!!

Way Back Wednesday!

Late again.... I know! blame it on stress!

This song brings back soooo many memories for me! Jagjit Singh and Asha Bhosle both did such an amazing job of capturing real feelings. I remember sitting in my room late at night, doing homework. As soon as this song came on, I dropped everything I was doing, just to sit back and day dream. hehe.. so "Bollywood" of me! :-)

Album: Hote hote pyar hogaya
Song: Jab Samne Tum Aa Jate Ho

LYRICS:

Dekh ke tumko, hosh mein aana.. bhool gaye.. yaad rahe tum... aur zamanaa.. bhool gaye!

Jab samne tum,
Jab samne tum, aa jate ho
kya janiye kya, ho jata hai
kuch mil jata hai,
kuch kho jata hai
kya janiye kya ho jate haii

Chaha tha yeh kahenge,
Socha tha woh kahenge
Aaye woh samne toh,
kuch bhi na kahe sakhe hum
bas dekha unhe hum

Dekh kar tumko, yakeen hota hai
Koi itna bhi haseen hota hai
Dekh pata hai kaha hum unko
Dil kahi hosh kahi hota hai

Jab samne tum, aa jate ho

kya janiye kya, ho jata hai

Aa kar chale na jana,
aise nahi sataana
De kar haseen labon ko
Aankhon ko mat rulana
Dena na beqarai dil ka karaar ban ke
Yaadon mein kho na jana,
tum intezaar ban ke, intezaar ban ke

Bhool kar tumko na jee payenge
Saath tum hogi jaha jayenge
Hum koi waqt nahi hai hum dum
Jab bhulaoge, chale ayenge

Ha ha ha Jab samne tum, aa jate ho
kya janiye kya, ho jata hai

kuch mil jata hai,
kuch kho jata hai
kya janiye kya ho jate haii

Hope you guys like it!

I heart Reality TV!

First off, if there's anything you know about me, then you know that I am a reality TV junky! My absolute all time favorite of these is 'Big Boss'(India)! Big Boss is the equivalent to the American/British 'Big Brother' show. You have a  certain number of housemates all staying under one roof and doing all kinds of different activities or challenges and once a week the housemates vote on who they want to evict from the house. The difference between the American and Indian versions is that the housemates in the Indian show are all famous people (or were famous at one time). I fell in love with the show this past season and even made the hubby addicted! It's just THAT good!

This past season the host was Amitabh Bachchan. The housemates were music composure/director Ismail Darbar, former big actress Poonam Dhillon, actor Kamaal Khan, actress/model Sherlyn Chopra, son of boxer/actor Dara Singh- Vindu Dara Singh, former model/actress and current doctor Aditi Gowitrikar, TV and movie actors, husband and wife Bhakhtiyaar and Tanaaz Irani, famous actress/model Rakhi Sawant's mother Jaya Sawant, actress Shamita Shetty, fashion designer Rohit Verma, famous comedian Raju Srivastav, famous cricketer Vinod Kambli, German model/actress/singer Claudia Ciesla and top fashion model Parvesh Rana.  WOW.. can you say a houseful of DRA-MA!! :-) it was awesome!

This is the picture of Big Boss Season 3 Cast, minus Parvesh Rana. He was added later through a public vote. The final winner of the show was Vindu Dara Singh. And boy did he play it well!

I cant wait for the new season to start. I'm constantly checking up on news about the house and who's going to be in it this year. I know I am super excited to know that Salman Khan is going to be this year's host! woo hoo!! You know he's definately going to make sure everyone has fun! This show is going to be his life for the next 6 months(or however long it is this time). He ditched his 'Dus Ka Dum' show just for this! :-O

The new season starts in October, and trust me, you will DEFINATELY be seeing lots of blogs about the show! I'm going to be watching it religiously every single day. So I'll update you on the gossip if you dont get the chance to watch. Andddd you can come and talk to me about the show!

NEW BIG BOSS SEASON 4 PROMO

BIG BOSS SEASON 4 PROMO 2

BIG BOSS SEASON 4 PROMO 3

Get excciiiited ya'll!! It's going be the best show this fall! :-)

Action Replay

I'm loooving Aishwarya's outfits in this movie! She looks stunning like usual but I'm just not sure if I really want to see the movie though. Looks kind of stupid to me.

I realllyyyy want a salwar kameez like this one! Ive been bugging the hub about getting one just like it when we go to India later this year! haha

Is she stunning or what!?

Back off.. this salwar kameez design is all mine lol.

Are any of you looking forward to this movie?

Review: We Are Family

Last week I got the chance to watch 'We are family.' Sorry I didnt write the review any sooner, but i got extremely busy with LIFE! Anyways, I went into this film open minded. I was in the mood to watch a Bollywood movie and this hit the spot for the night. And for everyone wondering, yes this movie is like 'Stepmom' but if you are a lover of Bollywood films, you'll still give it a chance like I did. :-)

First off, I'm not a big fan of Arjun Rampal. I am not one of those girls who thinks he's extremely good looking. Sorry! I dont think he can act and none of his previous movies ever showed his ability to me. No, not even in 'Om Shanti Om.' But for the first time ever, I have to say, he didnt do that bad of a job in this film.

Kareena and Kajol did an amazing job of living their roles and their on screen chemistry just made the movie worth watching. They both looked gorgeous and played their characters beautifully. The 3 children in the movie did such an amazing job. They made you believe in their characters.

This movie definately made me tear up a few times. Which shows that every single person did a good job in playing their roles. I dont want to give away too much, since I know some of you really want to see this movie. I do reccommend this for girls to see. It's an emotional chic flick, so have the tissues handy! :-)

I give this movie a 3.75 out of 5!

Way back Wednesday!

Remember this one? Not too old, but not tooo present either. Another awesome awesome awesome song!! I'm jamming to this all over again today :-)

Movie: Chori Chori (2003)
Song: Tu mere samne

Lyrics

Ho, ho ho, ho oh oh ho
Tu mere samne, me tere samne
Tu mere samne, me tere samne

Me tere samne, tu mere samne

Dono ke beech hai meelon ki dooriyaan

Dhak dhak dil bole tera, cham cham meri choodiyaan

Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan

Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan

Tu mere samne, me tere samne

Me sochoon haan kar doon, dil bole na kar de

Dil bole haan kar de, me sochoon na kar de
Haan, main sochoon haan kar doon, dil bole na kar de
Dil bole haan kar de, main sochoon na kar de

Raataan hai lambiyaan, baataan adhooriyaan

Haan na ho jaaye to ho jaaye galla puriyaan
Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan
Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan

Tu mere samne, main tere samne

Oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh
Jaa apne daaman ko phoolon se tu bhar le
Jeena hai to jee le, marna hai to mar le
Ho, jaa apne daaman ko phoolon se tu bhar le
Jeena hai to jee le, marna hai to mar le

Dil chaahe dil ko aaj de de manzooriyaan

Hum bhi kar le sarkaar ki jiha jooriyaan
Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan
Haiyo rabba haiyo rabba pyaar diya majbooriyaan

Review: Once Upon A Time In Mumbai

I finally got the chance to sit down and watch this movie last week. And I have to say, it was an ok movie and I'm glad I watched it at home vs in the theatre. I wanted to see the movie based on the trailers and because of one really good song, 'Pee Loo.'

The movie is basically about two gangsters and the rise of the underworld, all seen through the eyes of a police officer.

The movie is set in the 70's and definately has the look and feel of the movies from back then. Not to mention the same "cliche" dialogue that was also used back then. But nonetheless, the actors did a superb job in playing out their roles. Ajay Devgan definately shows his acting skills as Sultan Mirza. My favorite part definately has to be when he woo's the famous Actress Rehaana, played by Kangana Ranaut.

Kangana plays a "famous 70's film actress" and looks gorgeous doing so. Her sari's, makeup and hair all definately played the part. But I still cant get over her plastic surgery. I thought maybe I'll see past it in a movie but I just couldnt stop staring at her big fat injected lips. WHYYY Kangana!? WHY!? Your such a gorgeous girl, you didnt have to do any of that to yourself!

But anyways, moving on! That leaves me to Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai. I have watched all of Emraan Hashmi's movies and I guess I can call myself a fan of him. I think he's an outstanding actor and does different kinds of films. Ones I can find myself watching more than once (besides this one). He played out his role effortlessly in this film. Prachi Desai also does really good as an up and coming actress. I used to watch her in the Zee TV drama serial 'Kasam Se,' so I'm already a fan of her acting.

All in all this movie was a good time pass movie for my husband and me. He's usually the one to like the "gangster" or "underworld" type of movies, but this one deifnately didnt hit the spot for him. Would we watch this movie again if it was on t.v. --probably not.

I give this movie a 3 out of 5.

Have you seen this movie? What are your takes on it?

Way back Wednesday!

Totallyyyy forgot to post the way back song of the week!
But here it is! Remember this song? aghhhh.. brings back memories!

Movie- Baadshah
Song- Hum To Deewane Hue Yaar

LYRICS
Dil kyu dhak dhak karta hai

Kyu yeh tujhpe marta hai
Dil kyu dhak dhak karta hai
Kyu yeh tujhpe marta hai

Dil tujhko he chaahe baar baar
Arre oye oye oye oye

Hum to deewane hue yaar
Tere deewane hue yaar
Ke ab kya karein hum
hey hey
Kaise jeeyein hum
hey hey
Itna bata de oh mere yaar

Hum to deewane hue yaar
Tere deewane hue yaar

Ke ab kya karein hum
hey hey
Kaise jeeyein hum
hey hey
Itna bata de oh mere yaar
la la
Kaise jeeyein hum
la la
Itna bata de oh mere yaar

Hum to deewane hue yaar,
tere deewane hue yaar

Rakhloon nazar mein chehra tera
Din raat uspe marta rahoon
Jab tak yeh saansein chalti rahein
Tujhse mohabbat karta rahoon
Itna joh chahoge meri kasam
Sab kuchh luta doongi tujhpe sanam
Tumne kiya hai bekaraar
Bekaraar bekaraar bekaraar

Arre Oye Oye Oye Oye

Hum To Deewane Huay Yaar
Tere Deewane Hue Yaar

Ke ab kya karein hum
aa ha
Kaise jeeyein hum
aa ha
Itna bata be oh mere yaar

Hum to deewane hue yaar,
tere deewane hue yaar

Bharke mujhe apne aagosh mein
Soja mere gaisu'on ke tale
Ter siva kuch nazar aaye na
Aise lagale mujhko galey
Teri wafaon pe bharosa karu
Tujhse kabhi na dhokha karu
Tune kiya hai aitbaar
aitbaar aitbaar aitbaar

arre oye oye oye oye

Hum to deewane hue yaar,
tere deewane hue yaar

Ke ab kya karein hum
hey hey
Kaise jeeyein hum
hey hey
Itna bata de oh mere yaar

Hey hum to deewane hue yaar,
haan tere deewane hue yaar
